 |  Sur La Table

Global Holiday Feast with Sur La Table

Experience holiday traditions from around the world and savor the foods that make these celebrations so special. You’ll learn to create a classic Christmas main course of prime rib, a showstopping centerpiece dish for families to gather around. Our chef instructor will guide you through frying up homemade Latkes, a comfort food dish that symbolizes the miracle of Hanukkah. Then, we’ll journey to Persia to get a taste of Shab-e Yalda celebrations with a salad peppered with pomegranates that symbolize the triumph of light over darkness. To round out the festivities, you’ll bake Sweet Potato Pie Bars, a soul food classic to help honor Kwanzaa traditions and African American unity and heritage.

What To Expect: In our classes you’ll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors.

  • You will work with other students in groups of 4, sharing workstations and equipment.
  • Classes are 2 hours, unless otherwise noted above
  • Hands-on classes are limited to 12-16 students, depending on location.
  • You will be standing, cooking and working for most of the class
  • Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back
  • Students receive a coupon good for 10% off in-store purchases the day of class
